listening("De-Loused in the Comatorium","The Mars Volta"); ?>If you're ever thinking of teaching yourself OpenGL, might I suggest Aramaic instead? It might be a two-thousand year old dead language whose fluency won't advance your social status, but at least the next time you drink too much at a dinner party and start speaking it, you can take solace in knowing that once upon a time, someone else might have been able to understand you.
I've been pouring over the same 12 pages in this textbook for about an hour now, and I'm still not done with a prelab for Analog tomorrow. I shouldn't be working on this project, but I hit a wall in the prelab and my partner is off at some honors fraternity meeting or something. Apparently Tau Beta Pi is too good for me.
It's my understanding that I will be visited by my woman this weekend. I've been teased with the fact for days now, but dared not of speak it for fear of it never coming to fruition. We also have formals this weekend, but they shouldn't take up too much time.
This OpenGL project is due on Monday, and I'll tell you know it's going to be hell getting it to work properly. All it is is checkers. That's all. Nothing all together that ball-busting. But I can't, for the life of me get the thing to register mouse-clicks. I don't want to get into technical details here, because you just can't handle it, but suffice it to say that this "program" thinks that when I click the mousey-thingy, I might as well be trying to doodle on air.
I've spent the last two days at this desk without much else in the way of stimuli. I got up long enough yesterday to watch House. That was about it.
We made contact with our "client" for Senior Design this afternoon. Turns our "Chris" is a "Christine" and I was able to dodge any foot-in-mouth remarks as a result of this. Also, we were able to dig up last years files rather than have to retype and rediagram everything again. This will save us weeks, I shit you not. Still, the project could end up being a wash. It wouldn't be the first time.
I bought the new Coheed disc. I never bought a Coheed disc before. Haven't listened to it yet. I think I'll have to be in the right mood to swallow it.
Jack's Mannequin, on the other hand, owns my soul and my ears (not necessarily in that order).
That is all.
Buying the Coheed CD was a mistake. I give it a 6.5/10, maybe 7/10. It sounds almost EXACTLY like their last CD. I swear I think they just changed the words on a couple songs. You'll know what I'm talking about once you listen to it a couple times. They are playing a free show for OSU students next Saturday or Sunday and I probably won't be in attendance... However, the new Cartel CD is very good (courtesy of the other other Kober).
I made a java program today that converted cents to dollars and cents. It made me proud. my next assignment? make a java applet that says my name and looks pretty. have fun with that openGL, I hope i never have to learn how to use it.
I'll be starting some OpenGL soon myself here. I just started class Wednesday. I figure I might as well load up on sweet, but insanely complicated, graphics classes for electives. Until then, good luck.
"Apparently Tau Beta Pi is too good for me." - trust me. It's not...it's just the other students at Rose are too good and screwing you out of a "chance" to do something.
On the other hand, we completed pwnd that prelab and lab. Just don't forget to paste that shit in the lab book...and don't let that crazy guy pull out some more pages again.
