That Last Third is Mostly Backwash

Senior design? Yeah that's pretty much wrapped up. I have some ugly-ass prototype I need to move off my breadboard and onto another one at some point, but outside of that it's pretty much done.

I might be a little behind everyone else on this, but no one was talking about it so I'll bring it to light. The Correspondants Dinner on CSPAN? At least, the last tweny minutes of it? Stephen Colbert (ala the Colbert Report) was the keynote speaker at the event. Wait a second to let that sink in. Mr. President, I realize you are not a bright guy. But, as the proverbial sheep, you invited the wolf to dinner and then acted surprised when he gobbled your ass whole. No, Mr. President, not your starfish. Your "entire behind", if you will.

The previously linked video is quite hilarious to someone with as minimal political knowledge as myself and I encourage you all to watch it. There's also a clip on the net out there of the camera that just stayed on Bush for the whole speech and watched his face turn form ignorant delight into absolute panic. I suggest you find it.

This is week 9, people. I finished a couple of tests today so that pretty much wraps those up for the quarter. The peptic ulcer I've got forming now is purely due to projects and more projects. I'm pretty certain that I have next to no idea what's going on in my Logic class right now. The space between lillie's he's laid out for us is far too great to leap in single bounds. Alliteration is your friend.

In local news, the computer I'm using now tried to commit suicide when I installed the new power supply last week. Something tells me that 86 degrees Celcius is too warm for this piece of shit. The ASUS mobo that's in it is, admittedly, a piece of shit. In light of its "age" and my inceasent need to have things work without catching on fire, I ordered new parts which should be in tomorrow. You'll see some post from me in the next two days that either says "WOO HOO IT WORKS!!!111one" or "GOD MOTHERFU" and I won't get to finish the setence because of spontaneous processor meltdown. I'll let you know how it goes. There will be pictures.

I can't think of anything else that's fit to print right now. Since I'll be going through commencement this year instead of next year, I've got a lot of "senior" stuff that I have to do like rehersals and crap like that. I won't mark that as "interesting" but it's not "work", so I'll mention it.
