The Sorrows of Young Kober
listening("Alcohol and Alter Boys","Bayside"); ?>It's Labor Day, and you're not in class? Pussies.
There's been a small lapse in my posting and for this I apologize. Between the moving, apartment hunting, moving some more and then the start of classes, I've been a bit preoccupied. But here's a quasi-massive update spanning, I guess, the last week or so of my troublesome little existance.
Last week the Mrs and I went out to Pennsylvania to claim a hovel in which we were make our living. We settled on an apartment complex in Hatfield, PA which is the geographic median between Lutron and Philly. On the off-chance that Shannon can find employment there, the situation should work out nicely.
Moved back to Terre Haute last Monday where I've taken up residence with my main-men JJ and Whitney. Whitney is, as he claims, a male. The name is just some sort of homage or cruel joke played by his conceivers. The room, I must say, is pretty goddamn amazing. We have nice, new furniture (including an oversized bean-bag chair), a bar, a full-size fridge and a well planned and constructed entertainment center complete with Media Center PC.
The Fall Foam party was last Saturday and I have to admit it went pretty well (as far as I could tell). Having very little reason to go get soapy and get my bump-and-grind on, I remained back in the house and managed our own little party in the Cave, complete with much better music and good conversation. Met some new people, abided a good deal of beverage, and felt completely refreshed the next day on a mere 8 hours of sleep. Proud? Sure.
Classes? I cringe at the use of the word. I feel like I've joined, rather than classes, a series of book clubs. My 10th and final course load at Rose-Hulman consists of three humanities classes and a course in Digital Signal Processing System Design. The DSP course has 5 homework assignments, 2 tests and a project. Tbe humanities classes are (don't laugh):
- Romanticism & World Literature
- The Bible as Literature
- Contemporary Europe
I'm currently about 1/2-way though both "The Sorrows of Young Wether" (Goethe) and "The Confessions" (Rousseau) which are not nearly as bad as they sound. I understand now where the roots of emo truly lie.
That's probably all the news fit to print right now... I'm sure something will come up within the next days that begs to be told. Until then.
England prevails.

It seems you got Picasa working just fine...
Yeah, it turns out that the "waiting list" for invites to PicasaWeb was at zero. Haha.
